Angela Blenkhorne is a passionate advocate for childhood bereavement resource alternatives, Angela has been navigating grief since the age of 14 when her father died. Turning this experience into action is the driving force behind creating Bernie’s Buddies, providing kids’ and youth grief peer support programming since 2018. Her day jobs have spanned senior positions in several industries, however her favourite roles over the past 20 years have been teaching children’s skiing and yoga, facilitating youth peer groups, and continuing education studies in grief support. Angela seizes every opportunity to encourage and normalize grief conversations, whether through conferences like today’s event, with community organizations, corporate lunch n’ learns, or maybe even most importantly, in the checkout line at the grocery store.
