Ashley Legere is the Executive Director of Cumberland Homelessness and Housing Support Association and a leader in rural harm reduction and Supportive housing access in Nova Scotia. Her work bridges substance use and housing stability with a focus on ensuring that people who use drugs and people experiencing homelessness receive compassionate, equitable, and evidence-informed care across the lifespan. Ashley has served as a case manager, organizational leader, and next of kin for individuals denied palliative services due to substance use or housing status. Her advocacy is grounded in direct experience supporting people through complex illness and terminal conditions while navigating systems that often exclude them.
