Dear colleagues and partners,
I am writing to share that the NSHPCA office will be closed from December 24, 2025, through January 4, 2026, and will reopen on January 5, 2026.
As we approach the holiday season and reflect on the year coming to a close, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the important work accomplished together in 2025. Across Nova Scotia, there has been meaningful progress in strengthening hospice, palliative care, and grief and emotional wellness – progress made possible through your leadership, collaboration, and commitment. From education and community initiatives to advocacy and system-level conversations, your contributions continue to shape more compassionate and responsive care for individuals and families.
I also want to sincerely thank you for entrusting NSHPCA to continue serving as a provincial hub – supporting collaboration, sharing knowledge, and working alongside partners to improve access, awareness, and quality of care across the province. This trust is deeply valued and guides our work every day.
As always, we are especially mindful of those who will continue providing care and support throughout the holidays. Your dedication during this time is profoundly appreciated by the individuals, families, and communities you serve.
Thank you for the compassion, professionalism, and commitment you bring to this work. On behalf of the NSHPCA team, I wish you peace, good health, and moments of rest and joy over the holiday season. We look forward to continuing our work together in 2026.
Warm regards,
Tim Guest
