Nova Scotia Grief Alliance Hosts First-Ever Provincial Grief Symposium

November 18, 2025 | Old Orchard Inn | 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Held on National Grief and Bereavement Day

Media Are Invited to Attend

The Nova Scotia Grief Alliance (NSGA) will host its first Provincial Grief Symposium on November 18th, aligning with National Grief and Bereavement Day — a day dedicated to recognizing the experience of grief, honouring those who have died, and supporting Canadians who are grieving.

Holding the symposium on this national day reflects the importance of grief literacy and compassionate responses in communities, and highlights Nova Scotia’s efforts to strengthen grief supports across the province.

This full-day event at the Old Orchard Inn runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and brings together grief experts, community leaders, health professionals, educators, and provincial partners. Media are invited to attend and cover the event.

Media interviews with keynote speakers, grief experts, and NSGA leadership can be arranged upon request.
