Tim Guest

RN, BScN, MBA – Executive Director
Tim Guest is the Executive Director of the Nova Scotia Hospice Palliative Care Association. Tim is a Registered Nurse with a BScN from the University of Alberta and a Master of Business Administration in Executive Management with Specialization in Leadership from Royal Roads University and is a Fellow of the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery at the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland (by election). Tim has over 30 years of nursing experience, from clinician, consultant, senior executive and nursing leader, in Nova Scotia, Alberta, nationally, and internationally. Tim was an accreditation surveyor with Accreditation Canada for 8 years, giving him valuable experience and insight into the unique and common issues and challenges facing the Canadian health system. Tim also has varied governance experiences serving as a volunteer on several boards of not-for-profit organizations, as well as Provincial Nursing Regulators, Nursing Union, and the Canadian Nurses Association of which he was the President and CEO. Tim also was President of the Mayflower Curling Club in Halifax.
