Remember. Reflect. Connect.

On November 19, 2024, we observe National Grief and Bereavement Day—a day dedicated to honouring grief, fostering connections, and reflecting on how we support one another in times of loss.

Grief often silences us. As individuals, we may hesitate to ask for help, and as supporters, we can feel unsure of what to say. This day invites us to break through that silence—by listening, by sharing, and by building bridges of compassion.

At the Nova Scotia Hospice Palliative Care Association, we are proud to work alongside the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association (CHPCA) to promote resources and tools that empower individuals and communities to navigate grief and loss. Take this opportunity to explore their helpful materials on grief, bereavement, and community action: https://www.chpca.ca/…/national-grief-and-bereavement-day/

Let’s come together to create meaningful connections on this important day.
